• INVISALIGN - An Amazing Alternative To Braces

  Invisalign is a new method of orthodontic treatment that is nearly invisible and straightens teeth often faster than traditional braces. Many adults and teens choose this method over traditional metal braces because of the convenience and the look of the aligners.

  Invisalign uses clear, plastic aligners that fit snugly next to your teeth. Treatment is planned using a computer analysis of your mouth and teeth. We then discuss the plan which we call CLINCHECK with you and together decide on the final result and cost and which payment plans work best for you. Any changes to your teeth are discussed at this appointment.

  Once you understand your choices and the reasons for and against treatment its time to place the order with Invisalign to start the manufacturing process for your Invisalign aligners which takes two to four weeks.

• The day you get your Invisalgn Aligners

  When your Invisalign aligners arrive from the USA we will call you and invite you back to try the aligners in for fit. Once the fit is approved and your happy we will provide you with a set of 7 or more aligners and take the time to make sure you understand your part in the process. Any adjustments of teeth are made at this time or the subsequent appointment

  The aligners are completely removable and changed over weekly. Each aligner works quickly and movement is often complete in one week allowing you to move to the next aligner.  Each week you simply remove the aligner and replace it with the next fresh aligner in the series. Each aligner is designed to exert pressure on specific teeth at a specific time with the average treatment time being just 12 months. We get you back for review visits every 6 weeks to make sure you know exactly what to do and everything is progressing to plan

• Hooray the treatment phase is finished!

  At the end of the treatment phase you will be given a final aligner called a retainer which will keep your teeth in place while the bone holding the tooth hardens up providing resistance to the tooth moving out of place.

  Many people over the next 12 months or less will be able to progressively stop wearing the retainer as their teeth will have settled  but in some cases there will be a need to continue wearing the retainer on a regular basis to keep the teeth from moving out of the final position.

  Its not possible with any orthodontic treatment to stop teeth from moving out of the final position in every case but with the use of retainers we can keep them in place.

  A popular solution for patients who dont want to wear retainers on an ongoing basis is bonding a retainer wire permanently on the back of the teeth where they will be hard to see.
